Please Me or Brave?

PM2

For Christmas I got a 20€ gift card for MAC, I usually try to stay away from MAC because they test on animals and aren’t planning to stop. But I didn’t want the 20€ to go to waste so I thought I could buy a new lipstick.

These last few weeks I’ve been hearing a lot about Brave. People say it’s the perfect lipstick for achieving that Kylie Jenner Lip and it’s supposed to fit every skin tone.

Well, I tried it. It’s not bad and it would probably look nice on many people but on me? Not so much. I put it on and saw no difference whatsoever, it’s literally the color of my lips.

So I decided to try out some more of those nude lipsticks and the one that really won me over was Please Me. It’s like a more pinky nude that’s quite similar to Brave but definitely works better with my lip color.

I think in the before and after picture you can see that it’s a very natural color payoff that compliments the skin tone beautifully.

I also love how Please Me works with NARS’s Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer I’m wearing on my cheeks.

Please Me is a matte so it’s super important to have moisturized lips because the matte formula is going to highlight any dry areas you might have on your lips.

Even though matte lipsticks tend to be drying Please Me is a very creamy and easy to apply lipstick that feels super nice on the lips.

All in all I really like this lipstick and I’d recommend it to anyone who’s searching for a lovely nude lip color.
