I love Urban Decay, I’ve loved them since the first NAKED palette came out. I still remember telling everyone who went on vacation to the US to pleeaaaase bring back one of those amazing eye shadow palettes. Fortunately by now we have Urban Decay in Austria so I can finally swatch stuff before I buy it 😀
My Urban Decay collection consists mostly of eye shadow palettes, I also have two bottles of the NAKED Skin Foundation (awesome btw!) and of course, the famous Primer Potion. But for some reason I’ve never bought a lip product from Urban Decay, I guess I just always thought it was too expensive and MAC lipsticks were oh so much cooler to have a huge collection of. Right. Well, I got over that and finally realized how amazing UD’s lip products are.
The first item I got was a lip liner called Turn On.
I’ll just list a few things I find quite amazing about this product: it’s vegan (!!!), it’s super creamy and it’s waterproof.
When I first applied it I was almost shocked at how smooth the application was because I was used to lip liners being rather dry and therefore not gliding as nicely along the lip line. The color payoff is amazing, Turn On is a plummy pink that seems very natural on the lips. I think this color will look especially good on people who have purple undertones in their lips.
The second thing I bought was a lipstick called Matte After Dark.
As you can tell from the name it’s a matte lipstick so before applying I made sure to exfoliate and then moisturize my lips. I decided to draw just slightly outside of my actual lip line to make my lips look bigger. If you want a step-by-step tutorial on how to make your lips look bigger without looking like a clown let me know 😉
Anyways, the lipstick is creamy and feels nice on the lips. The color is a medium-dark berry pink that is perfect for spring. But the application can be tricky because it tends to look uneven if you don’t use a lip brush.
All in all I can say that I totally recommend those two products and I’ll definitely repurchase them once they’re empty.
